More Than an Account Manager
Meet Tania Collins, Slater Byrne’s dynamic Account Manager, who has been with us for an amazing six years, since March 29, 2019. It is not only her wealth of experience that she brings onto the table but also her passion for her work which can be infectious with anyone she works with. A loving mother of three, she blends professionalism and her own personal creative spark.
Tania’s journey into the debt recovery industry might be anything but ordinary. Before she stepped into the world of debt collection as an account manager, she seems to wear multiple hats in the roles of a Team Leader and a Legal Secretary in her previous companies. These positions can make one see that she has been good in dealing with people from all walks in life. It wasn’t long after that she found her true calling: the thrill, the adrenaline rush, and the satisfaction accomplishing any task brought by the art of debt collection.
While Tania hasn’t pursued any formal certifications yet for her role as an Account Manager, she is a proof that hands-on experience is after all the best teacher in harnessing skills and acquiring capabilities. Through her dedication and on-the-job learning, she’s become a top performer, even earning a distinction of being the highest revenue charger.
Tania also inhibits a crafty and creative soul. Outside of work, Tania channels her boundless energy into a variety of crafty activities, from candle making to being a wine connoisseur, or just about any creative project that lets her hands get on. Way before, she used to do cake decoration. She even had a small business with it by that time, which she managed alongside her fulltime job.
Everyone can attest that Tania has a great love for all things artistic. And this love also matched and being reflected on her affection for animals. In her home, Tania shares her space with a bustling and energetic crew of two dogs and twelve cats. A truly big and kind heart for these pets.
When it comes to her favourite food, Tania would give you a one-word answer: pizza. Who wouldn’t with that kind of creamy, salty, and umami taste, combined in just one slice, right? When asked about her colours, red tops her list. Though, admittedly, she has a soft spot too for mint green and pink.
Another chunk of her life, just like anyone else is music. However, dwindling down to a single favourite song and artist is impossible for Tania.
“There are just too many great artists and bands across so many decades and genres,” she says. But is there a one band that really stands out for her in the music scene? There is! And it’s The Foo Fighters.
Tania gives off the vibes of someone who believes in the phrase, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” When asked to share what it was that drew her to Slater Byrne Recoveries, Tania recalls that the appeal of a fresh environment and facing new challenges that can broaden her skills as a person, was the force that drawn her to pursue the Account Manager position.
And it’s a decision she doesn’t regret!
Everyday her collaborative spirit keeps her motivated. “All team members bring something unique and positive to the table,” she says. This makes doing her job more rewarding.
Being with Slater Byrne Recoveries, Tanya has always been an integral team member. As Director, Annabelle Parry puts it, “Tania has been a huge addition to our team and is an unvaluable part of the company. Her experience and knowledge are second to none, and our collections team has thrived under her.”
